Christopher M. Barry, PA-C

Chris Barry, PA-CMr. Christopher M. Barry PA-C,MMSc,DFAAPA was born in Connecticut, but spent most of his childhood in Chapel Hill. He received a B.S. in Zoology from Duke University ("Go Blue Devils!") in 1992.

Chris graduated with honors from the Emory University Physician Assistant Program in 2000, where he received a Masters of Medical Science degree and the student writing award for his thesis project. After graduating from Emory, Chris worked in a pediatric practice near Atlanta for over 5 years. He and his family returned to the Triangle area in 2006 to be closer to family.

Chris is a nationally certified PA and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Society for Physician Assistants in Pediatrics (SPAP) and the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (NCAPA), where he currently serves on the Board of Directors. Chris is also fluent in spoken and written Spanish.

In 2017, Chris received the honor of Distinguished Fellow of AAPA (DFAAPA) based on his leadership in health care and medicine, professional involvement, and commitment to lifelong learning.

Chris lives in Morrisville with his wife, Ashley, a research scientist, his young daughters, Jessica and Leah, and their pets. Chris enjoys participating in the sport of curling, and spends a lot of his free time on the ice at the Triangle Curling Club. Chris also enjoys photography, barbecuing, and spending time with his family.
