Christopher M. Barry, PA-C

Chris Barry, PA-CMr. Christopher M. Barry was born in New Haven, Connecticut, but spent most of his childhood in Chapel Hill. He received a B.S. in Zoology from Duke University ("Go Blue Devils!") in 1992.

Chris graduated with honors from the Emory University Physician Assistant Program in 2000, where he received a Masters of Medical Science degree and the student writing award for his thesis project. After graduating from Emory, Chris worked in a pediatrics practice near Atlanta for over 5 years. He and his family returned to the Triangle area in 2006 to be closer to family.

Chris is a nationally certified physician assistant. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, where he currently serves on the Board of Directors. Chris is also fluent in spoken and written Spanish.

Chris lives in Morrisville with his wife, Ashley, a research scientist, his young daughters, Jessica and Leah, and their dog and two cats. Chris has taken up the sport of curling, and spends a lot of his free time on the ice at the Triangle Curling Club. Chris also enjoys photography, barbecuing, and spending time with his family.
