THREE FUN FACTS ABOUT ME:
- Faith and family are two of the most important things to me. Most of my family is on the west coast, so I take every opportunity that I have to go visit and enjoy that warm California sunshine.
- In college I was on the dance and cheer team and enjoyed cheering on the school’s basketball team. I am a huge college sports team fan. Go Dons and Go Heels!
- I love to travel and experience new cultures. My favorite place to be is on a beach somewhere enjoying the sun.
WHY DO YOU LOVE YOUR JOB?
I have loved working with kids for as long as I can remember. Before working at JMA I worked as a pediatric oncology nurse at Duke and learned that children are so resilient. I enjoy primary care because I get to watch kids grow-up and change throughout their childhood. My favorite population to work with is the children with increased BMI because there is so much education that can be taught to help them live a healthier life. Children are so impressionable, and if we start healthy eating habits now, then they will have less health problems as they get older.
